EUBIONET III Workshops

REGISTRATION ON-SITE

Opportunities for the forest industry

The aim of this EUBIONET III workshop is to discuss about the opportunities of biomass use and refining to new biomass products (pellets, transport biofuels) in the forest industry. The workshop also aims at identifying 3 – 5 new legislative proposals for an effective participation of the forest industry to the European RES targets.

Emerging biomass resources

Many countries will probably set ambitious targets for biomass in their national action plans. The biomass supply is a challenge and will require traditional biomass mobilization as well as the need to develop new and yet unexploited biomass resources. This latter issue will be discussed in this workshop. The workshop also aims at identifying 3 – 5 initiatives at EU level that could help to develop these new biomass sources.

Biogas in the European Regions

FEDARENE workshop. Mobilisation of synergies between sectors (local authorities, farmers and food processing industries) and their concrete project implication will increase biogas plants realisation. The territorial approach facilitating partnerships and the elaboration of a strategic road map in each region will overcome obstacles and create a biogas friendly environment.
